Blonde bombshell Marisa Miller takes a trip down memory lane in a new interview with UK's DailyMail where she confesses she was raised as a tomboy and didn't particularly recognize her insanely gorgeous body until recently (is she blind??). Since her tomboy days, Marisa has graced Sports Illustrated numerous times and had an amazing run as a successful Victoria’s Secret Angel, but the 33-year-old has found a way of staying grounded thanks to her laid-back Cali roots. Staying relaxed and in touch with herself has guaranteed her smooth transition to this cray cray world of modeling.

On what her peers were saying:
"There was this rumor going around that I had a 'good body', and I didn't even know what that meant! My parents were just like, 'Oh, it just means you're really healthy and you're strong!''
On growing up as a tomboy:
“I took wood shop. I didn't know what being pretty was."
On traveling:
"When I began working for Victoria's Secret, they were shooting a lot in Miami. I was there every week, and finally I just decided to stay because I didn't want to fly back and forth from California every week."
On going back to her roots:
"[Miami] was a really fun place to be, especially at that time in my life. I was living it up. I had my skateboard, and I used to ride it over to Mynt Lounge, on Collins, and the DJ would put my skateboard behind the booth"
Moving on from her Victoria’s Secret status, Marisa has already appeared in television series HBO comedy-drama Entourage, as well as CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother, and even nabbed a brief appearance on America’s Next Top Model in 2009. She continues to grow her on-screen experience with her role in debut film R.I.P.D. alongside Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. Very promising indeed!
