With this being the fourth consecutive day of Marisa Miller in Quick Hits, it’s time for the supermodel to ride off into the sunset for the week. She will do so in style — with a motorcycle. After all, it is Women Riders Month.
‘‘Every year, Harley-Davidson dedicates the month of May to women riders,’’ Miller informed Quick Hits. ‘‘I think 23 percent of riders are women. It’s a growing demographic. ‘‘It’s nice to have the support of other women. I know when I took my riders-ed course through the dealership, one of my teachers was a woman. There are a lot of misconceptions. You think there’s girl bikes and boy bikes. A woman can ride any bike a man does. It’s great that Harley takes the opportunity to spread the word.’’One can only assume when Miller rides, she does so in something more than what she wore for a recent Esquire magazine shoot.
‘‘Yes,’’ she said. ‘‘Motorcycle fashion has been relevant for a while. I’ve had motorcycle jackets my whole life, but now that I ride, I really know what the zippers are for. I’m covered head to toe. And I have a full face helmet that’s blacked out. So I kind of look like Batman or something.’’Something says Batman never looked so good.
